Legendary knife maker Jimmy Lile created the first two Rambo knives and like Gil Hibben, his knives have been reproduced many times over. We’ve always been given the choice between hand crafted originals and the basic display models. Gentleman such as Andy Wood and Mike Carter have very informative websites that will provide you with all the information you need on all their knives. Miles Welze, has Hibben & Lile knives for sale and has an amazing collection that can be seen on his website. The custom knife makers I am showcasing below are now re-creating Jimmy Lile knives for both collecting or hard use.

A custom knife maker from the United States, Britt Gudowski started Black Starr Knives to recreate the Lile movie knives from First Blood and Rambo First Blood Part II. Britt has also been re-creating the knives from Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Predator and Commando movies so be sure to check his site for his recent updates.

I couldn’t have a Rambo Knife page without a dedication to Hall of Fame Knife Maker Gil Hibben. Mr. Hibben has been making knives for over 50 years for high profile collectors such as John Wayne, Elvis Presley, Steve McQueen and Sylvester Stallone, who asked him to make the Rambo III and IV knives. You can still order an authentic, custom made Rambo knife from the maker himself.

Farid is a custom knife maker from the United Kingdom who is known world wide and has been specializing in hollow handle knives for many years. Farid’s FB™ knife made from 440C stainless steel along with the red O-ring seal have been recreated in respect and honour to Jimmy Lile. The knives are based on the first six that Lile had made for First Blood.

Hans Zacharowski, a knife maker from Germany, is selling one of the three First Blood movie knives that he has reproduced over the past year. The blade and guard are made from D2 steel with a Stainless Steel butt cap.
