Oliver is one of the first pioneers when it comes to First Blood fan sites. I was originally looking for anything to do with First Blood and came across this very informative site.  It has various behind the scene photos, an interview with First Blood cinematographer Andy Lazlo and the local residents from Hope that worked on the movie. I had also been in contact with Oliver in regards to the various filming locations that hadn’t been found yet.  Oliver is the one who told me about a rumour of the junkyard being up Burke Mountain in Port Coquitlam so we can all thank him for that one.  I would also like to thank Oliver for all his support in making this website possible and for the use of his movie stills.  Make sure you always check back to Oliver’s website for the latest updates.

Herve has done an incredible four part “Then and Now” series called “On the set of First Blood” and has been able to blend the original movie scenes into the present day’s scenery. I had the pleasure of meeting Herve after he had filmed the second part of his series.  Herve’s site, like Oliver’s, has endless information on the filming of First Blood along with interviews with some of the people who worked on the film.  He’s also done numerous “Then and Now” tributes to many of our favourite movies so be sure to check them all out. I can’t thank Herve enough for all his help, support and for letting me be a part of his First Blood Saga.

A special thanks to my family and friends who helped make this website possible...

My girlfriend Jayme  who  not only endured all those trips to Hope but covered every trail, creek and old logging road Burke Mountain had to offer. Plus the only one of us that knows how to make a website...
