Find out where it all happened and how to get there...

Although First Blood was filmed almost thirty years ago many of us world wide are still fascinated with the movie that started the Rambo franchise.  The Town of Hope has a number of tourists yearly that take the Rambo tour, which allows you to tour the locations shot around town and out to the Othello Tunnels where the cliff scenes were filmed.  This sight is for the adventurous First Blood fans who would like to visit all the locations.

What a lot of people don’t realize is that besides the Town, Bridge and Cliff scenes, everything else was filmed in and around the Greater Vancouver area.  The journey will take you from Hope to North Vancouver and various places in between.  Many of these places are very desolate, overgrown and forgotten.  I hope you enjoy this website and make the trip out to see these filming locations for yourself.   It has detailed descriptions, maps, and pictures to let you know exactly where they are and how to get there.

I have dedicated a page to Grand Master Stephen Chang, the VC Commander who gave Rambo the iconic scars in the movie.  I studied Kung fu with Grand Master Chang many years ago and was able to track him down again on IMDB.  It was both a pleasure and an honor to meet with him again and talk about his iconic role in the film.

The knives and related links sections are reserved for Rambo knives that contain information on the custom knife makers who are now re-creating these legendary knives. The related links includes a list of websites that are dedicated to First Blood and the people who helped and supported me with this project.

The section for the First Blood collectables is where various collectors have sent me pictures of  some of the actual props used in both First Blood and Rambo First Blood part II.  There’s also some photo’s of Jimmy Lile’s Rambo knives as well.

The Fan page is for anyone who has visited these locations and would like their pictures posted on the site.  Christian Wiedner & Daniela Heinz, who were visiting from Germany, toured the sites and got some amazing pictures including a wildlife adventure… Be sure to check it out.

The “First Blood in the News” link is a section of newspaper clippings from the early eighties related to the movie.  I’d like to thank Cyndy Luo from the BC Film Commission for sending them to me.
